2009 Barossa Carriages Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Selected bunches of premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a single Barossa vineyard were picked on 17 April 2009, crushed and fermented in open vats for 9 days, basket pressed followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrique barrels for 68 days. This 2009 Hartz Barn Wines Barossa Carriages Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon wine was racked and returned to the French oak barrique barrels for maturation before bottling on 4 July 2011.
A nose of dense blackcurrent, cherries and blackberry combine with ripe tannins, excellent mouth feel and length, delivers a well-balanced Barossa Carriages Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon wine with distinction to share with family, friends and good food.
